"Poetic long blue coastlines, romantic scenery and fresh cool air" are the boundless pride of Danang people when it comes to their city – the Vietnamese entry in the list 10 most livable places in the world. However, in recent years, development of tourism and rapid urbanization have left Danang out of control and facing many challenges over waste collection and wastewater treatment.
As part of the campaign to renovate all wastewater treatment plants that are degrading in Danang, the project "Improvement of capacity of Hoa Xuan - Danang wastewater treatment plant" joined by Seen Tech., JSC and SONADEZL Services JSC as the two contractors, was commenced in June 2017 and will be completed by the end of 2018. Covering a total area of 6 ha and 1s ha for phase 2 construction, Hoa Xuan wastewater treatment plant phase 2 consists of such items as 1 input pumping station, 1 inlet, 2 SBR tanks, 1 disinfection tank and 1 air blower house. Featuring the capacity of 40,000m3 of wastewater per day and nigh and the application of SBR technology and fully automatic control systems, when completed, the project of renovation of Hoa Xuan wastewater treatment plant phase 2 ensures: wastewater quality meets QCVN 14: 2008 column A; ambient air quality after treatment meets QCVN 06:2009/BTNMT - National technical regulation on hazardous substances in ambient air; and ensures the ability to treat up to 80,000m3 of wastewater/day and night.
